Aya Wakaba a very rare and fascinating variety is coming to World of Koi. These tosai will change a great deal as they begin to grow as much of the pattern will become more visible and the colour becomes stronger. The lineage from Marusaka koi farm also produces very impressive growth rates.

Requirements

A Koi pond needs to provide clean, well oxygenated water in order to produce a healthy environment for fish to live and grow. The basic requirements are: To be large enough to accommodate the potential size that Koi can grow to ( 24 inches / 60cm plus). A pond of around 8 feet x 6 feet and 4 feet deep (2.5m x 2m x 1.2m) containing approx' 1200 gallons (5500L) would be a sensible minimum for keeping Koi in the UK or other temperate climates.

Diet

Koi fish eat just about anything, from small bugs and insects, to plants and algae at the bottom of the fish pond, to store-bought koi fish food. Koi will even eat people food. They love cereal, lettuce, shrimp, rice, peas, watermelon... pretty much anything we like, koi fish consider food.

Shipping & Returns

Our Koi can now be delivered via Courier. Fish are delivered in an Oxygenated box, costing £25 per box.
For fish up to 6 inches we can fit 6 in a box, but the very large Koi would need a box of their own.

A farm that is always interesting to visit and a producer of some amazing non-gosanke. Beni Kikokuryu are one of the leading varieties at the farm right now but although Marusaka is renowned for Hikarimoyo in Japan the farms reputation was actually built on Sanke.
